Removal of adenoids alone

Adenoids act as part of your body's immune system to help fight infection in the first few years of life. But sometimes the adenoids themselves become a problem and need to be removed in a procedure called an adenoidectomy. Adenoidectomies are performed most often for:
  1. Chronic, recurring ear infections (otitis media)
  2. Chronic, recurring sinus infections (sinusitis)
  3. Chronic, recurring adenoid infections (adenoiditis)
